Power Play (+$1) multiplies every non-jackpot prize by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X. The 10X multiplier is only in play when the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less, and Match 5 with Power Play always pays $2 million. California pays all prizes on a pari-mutuel basis, so amounts there depend on sales and the number of winners.
How to read this chart
Every prize below the jackpot is a set amount in the game rules, so it doesn't grow when the jackpot does (California is the exception noted above). The prize you're most likely to win is the bottom one, matching only the Powerball, at odds of 1 in 38.32. Small wins like that make up most of the overall odds of 1 in 24.87.
The odds column has two quirks. Matching two white balls plus the Powerball is slightly rarer than matching three white balls alone, and matching four white balls alone is rarer than three plus the Powerball. The tiers are listed by prize, not by how hard they are to hit.
