How to read these numbers

Hot numbers are the white balls drawn most often in the last 50 drawings, and cold numbers the ones drawn least often among those that came up at least once. Overdue numbers are the ones that have gone longest since their last appearance in that window. The Powerball isn't counted. All three come from the same stored draws you can download as CSV, and they change as new drawings come in.

The most and least often drawn lists are different: they come from our results provider's frequency data, not from our own 50-draw window.

With 5 numbers from 1–69 and only 50 drawings, some numbers will look hot and others cold by chance alone. None of this predicts the next drawing, because every combination has the same odds every time. Our methodology sets out exactly how we count, this guide covers what hot, cold and due numbers do and don't mean, and there is a separate article on the most common lottery numbers.

If you want to use them anyway, the quick pick generator can weight lines toward hot or cold numbers, or you can download the raw draw history (CSV) and do your own analysis.
