Overall odds of winning any prize: 1 in 23.

Every $5 play includes a randomly assigned 2X to 10X multiplier that applies to all non-jackpot prizes, so the smallest possible win is $10 (the $5 base prize doubled). The jackpot is never multiplied. California pays all prizes on a pari-mutuel basis, so amounts there depend on sales and the number of winners.

How to read this chart

Every prize below the jackpot is a set amount in the game rules, so it doesn't grow when the jackpot does (California is the exception noted above). The prize you're most likely to win is the bottom one, matching only the Mega Ball, at odds of 1 in 35. Small wins like that make up most of the overall odds of 1 in 23.

The odds column has two quirks. Matching two white balls plus the Mega Ball is slightly rarer than matching three white balls alone, and matching four white balls alone is rarer than three plus the Mega Ball. The tiers are listed by prize, not by how hard they are to hit.
