Where to Play Mega Millions

The states and territories that sell Mega Millions, with links to each state's results, plus the rules for buying online and in another state.

Mega Millions is sold in these 46 jurisdictions we track

Officially, Mega Millions is sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. We don't carry Virgin Islands results, so it isn't in the list below.

Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah have no state lottery, so Mega Millions isn't sold there.

Buying online

Some states sell Mega Millions online through their official lottery app or website, and courier services are allowed in some others. Our guides to iLottery by state and courier apps cover where. Online sales are geofenced, so you have to be physically inside the state when you buy. The minimum age is set by each state: 18 in most, higher in a few.

Buying in another state

You don't have to live in a state to buy a ticket there; you need to be physically present and old enough. A winning ticket has to be claimed through the lottery of the state that sold it, and that state's tax rules apply. Your home state may tax the prize as well. Buying lottery tickets in another state has the details.

Each state link above opens that state's page, with its latest Mega Millions result and its own games.
